What a classic Jaguar sells for at auction
13,465 Jaguars have sold at public auction since 1993, at a median of £21,514; the middle half of them made between £8,180 and £57,375. The sale rooms see about 1,199 a year and 73% of the cars offered find a buyer. The XJS Convertible is the one that comes up most often, with 690 sales on record at a median of £10,006. The highest result is £16,641,143, paid for a D-Type in August 2016.
In 2025 the median classic Jaguar sold for £13,405 across 1339 sales, much where it was in 2024. In real terms, typical classic Jaguar prices were down about 69% over the five years to 2025, once inflation is accounted for.
