British Classic Cars holds one of the larger private datasets of classic car auction results: 621,935 recorded lots from 51 auction houses, 1988 to August 2026, of which 473,270 are sold prices. We use it to publish market studies that anyone may quote, chart or republish with a link, and to answer questions the price guides cannot: what a model actually sells for, how that has moved after inflation, and how often one comes up at all.

Published studies

The first study, British classic cars against the stock market over 25 years, publishes at the end of August 2026.

What we can provide

Every study page carries its charts as PNG, its ranking as a CSV and an embed snippet for the headline chart. Beyond that, we can cut the data to a brief: a single marque or model, a decade, a price band, a region, UK sales only, or a comparison we have not published. Turnaround for a simple cut is usually a day. We can also supply a named quote from the editor.

Two rules we hold to. The figures we publish are sold prices, inflation-adjusted where we say so, with the sample size attached, and we will not strip the sample size to make a number look firmer than it is. And we derive our own medians, ranges and trends from the results; we do not republish any auction house's or valuation service's own figures.
